For a total of 5 weeks, the Southern Ulster Rotary Club has Partnered with Hepworth Farms to provide organic vegetables for the residents of Aloha Acres, a senior community. Hepworth Farms, established 1818, is a seventh-generation family farm in Milton, New York. The farm is located on the Hudson River approximately 75 miles north of New York City. After graduating from Cornell University in 1982, farmer Amy Hepworth assumed leadership and began the process of dechemicalization, transitioning from standard farming practices to a "whole systems approach." They specialize in tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, zucchini, cucumbers, and many varieties of greens. The farm is operated by Amy, her twin sister Gail Hepworth and Gerry Greco.

Immediate past president Will has organized this event for years, partnering closely with the farmers to load fresh vegetables onto his truck and then driving out to Aloha where he is met by fellow Rotarians. Quickly they set up tables and put the organic vegetables out to seniors whom begin to form a line patiently awaiting a glimpse of this weeks offering.
